DirecTV - DirecTV charging my CheckDebit card without authorization

My account balance with directv was 328.82 for services and it is past due. I have been unable to pay this for the last few months do to unemployement and was planning on taking care of this and restarting my service as soon as i could. DirecTV after many, many years as their customer desided to look in my file and use a debit card number that i had used to pay my bill online on previous occasions and charged my account 884.32. This was not a payment that i authorized or agreed to, they simply wrote a check for me. They charged me 215.50 (includes tax) for a dvr that i purchased from Radio Shack for 199.00. DirecTV told me that the Radio Shack purchase was a one time lease fee and that the dvr, if i where to purchase the dvr it would have cost me 399.00. They said if i returned the dvr to them they would refund me 215.50 in about 8 days after receiving the dvr but, where is the 199.00 that i paid up front for the machine i thought i purchased from Radio Shack. DirecTV also charged me an early termination fee of 340.00 for that same dvr unit. I purchase this unit to replace a unit that went out. I also had to purchase a new card for the new machine for 25.00 that they mailed to me. This new dvr replaced an old burned up one that i had for about 4 years and i new nothing about them adding a new 2 year contract to replace a burned out unit; i simply replaced a piece of electronic equipment just like you would replace a tv if it stopped working. They said they turned this early termination fee into some review department of theirs that would review the problem and let me know what they decide in about 18 days. They also said if any of this was refunded i need to call them and have them refund it to my checking account or the account with them would just remain positive. Despite my every effort i could not make them understand even if they agree to refund this terrible thing they did, one day was to long to avoid the issue of my account bouncing every check i wrote this week costing me way more than any refund they would give. The bottom line is they used my checkdebit card i paid previous bills with to pay charges that i did not agree to or authorize. This is the same thing as grabing my check book and filling out a check i did not sign or using my check information to fill out a check online to pay this bill without my authorization or signature. This must be illegal in some way??? HELP!

good luck they did the same thing to me.just 3 days ago .i wish you luck,get the bank to help you file a complaint they did me.not sure what the outcome will be,but i intent to keep fighting it.
