I had student loans, and I was in a hardship and I had them deferred. I then started receiving phone calls (harrassing) from DCS at home, work and through my family. I offered to pay 250-350 a month to DCS, which they refused and then sent me to the Mediation Department. I submitted all documentation they requested, and provided a phone number to take place in the mediation, but I received no phone call. I then started receiving a garnishment of my wages for 15 of my disposable income, which averages anywhere from 350-400 per pay period. In the past two months I have been garnished almost 2000. How can I live. My rent is 850.00, carepayment is 362.00, utilities 400, furniture 400.00, phone 150, grocieries I can't even afford them, car insurance 120, gas 120 and then my garnishment for approximately 700 per month, what is this. I am a public servant, an Nurse, how am I suppose to survive. I heard that a public servant can get their student loans forgiven, how do I do this.
