I ordered contact lenses from LENSFAST Optical on 8-15-05. I ordered 24 boxes at 15.95 per box and i had mistakenly over ordered and so I returned 16 boxes on 8-17-05. I spoke with a man named Randy Weigner at LENSFAST Optical and he claimed he received the boxes. I called numerous times: 9-9-05, 9-26-05, 10-06-05, 10-17-05, 10-24-05, and 10-25-05. When I called on 9-9-05 Randy told me that I would receive a refund check of 255.20 but I did not receive this check. When I called him on 10-17-05 he told me that I should call my bank and get a charged back to my account. On 10-21-05, I spoke with Mohamed from Bank of NY (my debit card -Mastercard) and he said the Bank of NY does not give dcredit to returned merchandis. I called Randy again on 10-24-05 and i explained the situation, but he hung up on me. I left message on 10-25-05 and he has not responded.
On Dec. 26, 2005, I called Bank of NY (1-800-225-5269) to enquire if they have received the money. I spoke to Ms. Nicole Brown, x1331. She told me that the customer cannot do charge back, only the merchant. After the merchant does this, Bank of NY will credit back the amount. I faxed the copy of the statement with the Bank's phone number to Mr. Weigner on 12-26-05 and Mr. Weigner claims he received the fax on 12-28-05. I have been leaving message on Mr. Weigner's answering machine, but he never responded. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Bernadette Carbonell
