When I went in and got an RAL and had it deposited into the HR Block Emerald Card they offer, they failed to tell me what type of delays this would cause with the Economic Stimulus package.
Now, instead of me having my money yesterday, with everyone else who did DD to their own bank accounts, mine won't be mailed out until May 23.
HR Block knew this was coming and failed to inform people who got a RAL. If I had known about it, I would have opted to file myself or have the refund sent to my bank account direct deposit instead of the HR Block Emerald Card. The difference, at the time, was the time it would take for the deposit to post for my yearly tax refund and I needed it more quickly due to car issues.
But.......had I known about this upcoming issue, they would have me as a customer for years to come.
As it stands now, I am considering seeing if there are groups out there looking to file a class action lawsuit against HR Block.
