I have had problems with the brakes on my 2002 Toyota Tundra TRD since about 6000 miles. When applying the brakes they vibratepulsate. I get this no matter if I am on level ground or downhill or uphill. The terrain doesn't matter and the road conditions don't make any difference either. I have had my truck in for service on several occassion regarding the brakes and they do repairs and they are fine for a short time and then it starts up again. I have asked them if there would be a recall on the braking systems and they keep telling me that there isn't a problem with the brakes that would give reason for a recall. My Local dealership has be great but they can only do so much. I have written Toyota in regards to this matter and never get a response back other than the following which also contains the letter I sent to them. I took a 100,000 mile warranty on my truck at the time of purchase and it is soon to end. I have not taken my truck back for any further repairs on the brakes as I refuse to pay the 50 co-pay for them to tell me that I am riding my brakes and that the rotors are once again warped. This is getting very old very quickly for most if not all 2002 Toyota Tundra TRD Owners. Please check out the web site WWW.MYCARSTATS.COM

When will Toyota admit there is a problem with the brakes on the 2002 Tundra's? You may want to check out some web site comments posted on WWW.MYCARSTATS.COM
There are currently 51 postings about brakes alone and even more comments regarding brakes in some of the other areas listed at that site. I know because I am one of the owners of the 2002 Tundra that has posted problems. Does there have to be deaths before you finally do something?
