I have a TV, and RCA HD, that I bought about two years ago. The lamp went out at the end of December 2007 and I have been trying to find a replacement lamp ever since. I called the RCA Parts division and was told the lamps were on back order and they had no way of knowing when they would be available. I have contacted every local TV repair company in the phone book and they say they have the same problem, unavailability. I have been without my 1600.00 TV for nearly four months because RCA can't, or won't, manufacture replacement bulbs or lamps (at a cost of 209.00 including shipping I might add) to fix the problem. My question is can we sue or take other action to make RCA replace these lamps for free or give us new TV's. I am sure there must be many others in my position. I have ordered a lamp and given RCA my credit card number to ship me a lamp when they come available, but how long is sufficient time for a company to have parts to back up their products. Please advise.
