poor software and customer service resulting in faling computers

Report Fraud
Electronic Arts (EA) and Tilted mill entertainment

I purchased the New Sim City Societies back in early Nov.07. after installing this into my computer and updating the software with the latest patch. had numerous c errors. after rechecking my computer i decided to go to ea support on Simcitysocieties.com and under the froums they had a tech help. after looking at some info and submitting some info on this matter i was told it was my video and sound card that where out of date. i went to website of the manufactures and checked only to find i had the latest update. after reinstalling the software anyway an to still no avail i went and purchased a new Video card hoping that would fix the problem. the game would then work for approx 30 minutes then just freeze casuing me to have to esc and shut down the programm via the CTRLaltdel option. after numerous times i again went to the website for maybe more info. www.tiltedmill.com. found out that titled mills might have an answer and was also the assitant builder in this software. after looking through there website and noting numerous complaints about the same problem and every suggetion to fix it was relating to the persons said computer and not the software i began to get suspicious. i submit info that was requestted only to be told my brand new video card was not up to date on the update. I had just purchased the card Brand new and know it had the most current drivers. every week i would check back to see if they would have a new patch to fix there problem only to find that at 4gb of memory people where experiencing less problems with the game. the game recommends at least 512 mb of memory. i have 2 gb. i also found that as the game progresses the game casues a memory leak in which it causes this problem. Ea and tilted mills have failed to solve this problem and continue to blame the users computer as the source of the problem. They are also responsible for giving misleading info in which to make a consumer belive they need to upgrade or purchase a new computer. You also cannot return the product after it is opened except for the same title at retail stores. what good does this do. and Ea and Tlted Mills gets to keep the money that i as well as other people have spent on this game and numerous recommended upgrades that are not nessessary to operate said game at the recommended requirements that they list. This is not only diseptive but also unfair business practice. after many attempts to contact the tech support via bug submission link given on website. no response to this date has been received as to the cause or when it will be fixed or how to get my money back for the game and unneeded upgrades to my pc. The frustration of this is beyond unacceptable and needs to be addressed.

228 still to this date no contact from EA or Tilted mills and there website still does not have the updated patch that they promised over 2 weeks ago according to there website. They are also now working on a Expansion Pack. now what good would a Expansion pack be if the first one doesnt work. Only to get more money out of the consumer with resolving the first problem.
