This company told us we owed them money that they were collecting for American Express after we filed for bankruptcy (Chapter 7). They used scare tactics to force us to make a settlement payment of 280.00 out of our checking account over the phone for the amount owed to American Express, after we filed bankruptcy. This money was all that we had left at the time as the bankruptcy had just gone through. The contact, Barnard Williams, was to send us a receipt for this, but we never received anything. Our credit report shows nothing of this payment. Now the website from the letter they sent us 'resolve.mitchellnkaylaw.com' is non-existent. The phone number to check the payment made does not work. I went on the internet and did a search and found out this company is a fraud and that a lawsuit has been filed against the company. I called American Express. They never received a payment and don't know anything about it. Basically, I gave someone 280.00 to someone that I don't know and I want it back.
