On January 19, 2008 my 54 year old son had a cart loaded with lumber flip up in the air dumping lumber and cart on top of him. There was a very brief accident report taken along with one employee of Home Depot that saw the accident happen - the employee said the cart hit a stone and flew up in the air (about 500 to 600 lbs fell on my son.)
My son suffered a punctured lung (with fluid and a clot), broken tibia, broken left eleven rib, bruised heart and internal organs. Home Depot asked for updates, which they were give - today they said after reviewing the case they did not feel responsible or liable in any way. My first thought is how could they have reviewed the case without interviewing the injured, family members, checking medical history due to the accident. Their decision was made on what????? Oops, there was a mistake - accidently the complain states 'animal abusers,' I think not - this is strictly about Home Depot and the way they handled my son's accident. Surely didn't refer to them as 'animal abusers.' Marcia
