I have a student loan that I have not been able to pay due to some medical and legal problems over the course of the past several years. I decided to track down US Dept of Edu., and was then directed to the collection agency that is now handling my account. I was given the phone number for diversified colection services who I then called. I spoke with several very rude individuals. I was put into a phone system that was a maze, I left several messages on the general delivery mailbox and have not received a return call until a few months ago. After finally receiving a return call, I was attacked by a very rude and stubborn woman. She said that she will let me settle it for 500.00, which I remited. However, I've not received notification that this was settled in full, nor any return phone calls. I do not want another offset, as I held up to my end of the bargon with the settlment agreement.
