I had the Mirena IUD inserted 603 after the doctor said it was completely safe. I cramped severely for months after and the doctor told me it was normal. I knew that the spotting would go away but it took a long time. Since 2003, my face started getting red and bumpy. I went to the dermatologist bc I thought it was rosacea. After much and treatment, my face got WORSE. I went to another doctor and it is a form of acne. I now have pock marks from scarring. I have 4 rx's just for my face. I can't go out without a ton of makeup. I used to cry when I looked in the mirror. Now I get pissed. In 2004, I started getting depression and anxiety. I had to go on an antidepressant. I was having panic attacks and still am. I have horrible backaches - I can't stand for very long. I get cramps anytime of the month - especially near my left ovary. I have NO libido. I used to love sex with my husband - now it hurts. I was not warned of these side effects from the doctor, and the website makes the iud look wonderful of course. This is a horrible product that has ruined many womens' lives. If you take a moment and scan the internet, thousands are suffering. Mirena needs to come off the market now! Stop the men from marketing this!
