I submitted an online application for a payday loan with the caveat that the application would be reviewed and not processed until I received a call from a representative. When the representative from Geneva-Roth called and advised I was approved for 300 with 90 added each two weeks if 390 was not paid by my next payday I declined. I not only declined but I declined adamantly since my employment situation was tenuous at the time and I expected to be unemployed anyday. I did not want to be stuck with 90 added to 390 every two weeks.
When I started to received overdraft notices on my bank account I contacted my bank and found out that Geneva-Roth had deposited 300 without my authorization. My bank account was seriously overdrawn and the 300 they had deposited did not correct that situation. They had also tried to pass the 90 interest thru three times resulting in three overdraft charges.
I called and spoke with an account representative who only argued with me insisting that I am responsible for the loan and with a supervisor Alicia who said the same. I called back two days later and received the same story. This time I left a message with the supervisor.
I have received no paperwork from this company and no email either. They insist they sent an email but I have never received it. They refuse to send any paperwork or emails although I have requested. I do not even know the address to send a payment if I wanted to. The third 90 will be submitted tomorrow. I have changed the bank account number and closed the previous but i suspect they will add this interest to my account at Geneva-Roth.
I am willing to pay back the 300 they deposited to my bank account although I did not authorize it but I will and cannot pay the accruing interest. They are also responsible for three overdraft charges against my bank account.
I am very interested in pursuing any legal action against this company that I can.
