I had the Mirena IUD inserted in almost a year ago. The docter gave great reviews and recomended it be the best birth control for me because I am already a mother of two. The insertion process was close to being the worst pain I have ever felt. My body almost went into shock. I was dizzy, sick to me stomach and crampy for 2 days. The cramping lasted almost a week. I bled almost constantly the first 2 months and bled during intercourse the following months. Sex is painful I cramp severly for a few hours after sex. Before Mirena I had never even experienced menstraul cramps and I deffinently never experienced pain during or after sex. Since I have had it I have gone through horrible bouts of depression and mood swings. I have awful headaches all the time. I am constantly fatigued even when I get plent of rest. Resently I have been having bouts of dizziness and lightheadedness along with cramping even when I have not had sex. My fiance can feel it during sex and it hurts his penis. Mirena has almost ruined my life I plan on making a docters appointment this week to have it removed.
