DirecTV put us on a new two year contract without our knowledge when we were in need of a new receiver. They did not inform us of this at the time the transaction was taking place. All I was told was the old receiver would be covered under warranty and all I had to pay was shipping and handling. I had no idea they placed us on a new two year contract when we ordered the new receiver. I found out after I had canceled the service and they billed us for early termination fees. No contract was signed nor did we verbally agree to it. It has been done to other customers. DirecTV claims customers should know their policies

DirecTV is refusing to remove the early termination fees. Still claiming we should have known even though the customer services reps failed to disclose this to us.
