I just checked my checking account last night and found a 400.00 debit from it from Geneva Roth Ventures
I am not sure why this is, but I know about 2 and half years ago I had a loan with them, I am almost positive it was paid off, I have never heard from them in anyway, I had to close down my last account because I had lost my job. So then when I got back on my feet again I got my account settled with my bank and opened up a new one that has been 2 years ago. So like I said I have never heard from this company, no letters no calls, nothing, I have lived in the same place for 6 years now, it is not like they couldn;t find me. All of the sudden I have this charge for 400.00, how is this possible, how can they get access to my account without my knowledge or authorization. Is that not illegal? I have tried to call that number 1-800-351-8820 no answer, I am on hold forever and no one ever comes. Needless to say contacted my bank immediately (Thank god they have a 24 hour number) They put a stop payment on the 400.00, that is good for 6 months. It did cost me 20.00 though which I am not happy about, but what can you do. I figure they have no right to my account info, I never gave them any authorizations to this new account, so they should not be able to do anything. If I do owe them the money why did they not contact me before now? What is the hold up they have my address. I would have paid back monies I owed them, if any from before. I think they are bunch of scammers, especially when I am reading some of these other complaints from people, how does this stop??
