NES claims it has been given an account for a credit card that I held with Citibank. NES is calling, demanding payment for this account. When NES calls, their phone numbers are blocked so that I cannot determine if they are a legitimate business or someone impersonating them. They become rude, abusive, and claim that they are garnishing my wages and have instituted legal proceedings. They have never contacted me with any paperwork regarding this account, and when confronted they again refuse to provide proof of their legal standing to collect this debt. When asked to provide proof, they again refuse.
They claim that my request for proof of their legality to demand payment is a refusal to pay on my part.

I have sent them a letter demanding compliance with the provisions of the FDCPA, and demanding that all communications with me be conducted in writing.
