My mom smoked cigarettes for over 40 years. In the last 15 years she switched to Salem Lights thinking that they were lower in tar and nicotine affects. She has had several heart attacks and several strokes and she is now non-verbal and wheel-chair bound due to cardiac arrest attack in 2001. She also has empnazema and CHF. We watch her suffer everyday. She takes breathing treatment three times a day, but yet coughs sometimes uncontrollably. Cigarettes smoking kills!.
