I applied for a payday loan with Geneva Roth Ventures and had no issue with payung the loan back until money began to leave my old checking account. Finally, I had no choice and closed out my account. I have set up arrangements and settlements with many companies until this irons out, which I believe will be the end of April. Two weeks ago a man, and I use the term loosely, called me at work, his name was Leon. Leon began to verbally berate, threaten, accuse and intimidate me. I had told him I had to call my attorney and he demanded I call him back by 5:00, I told him I could do no such thing as I did not know my attorneys schedule for the day, but I would call him the following dat, which I had every intention of doing. At 9:15, Leon called again this time yelling, screaming, threatening and berating me, I had asked him to take my home phone number, as I did not want him to call me at work, (three times I asked him not to) he refused, I told him no calls at work, he ignored me, I also told him based upon some research I had done, it appeared the licenses on more than one company had been revoked and when I asked him abnout the percentage rate of his state in Kansas, he told me he didn't know the rate, and it was whatever it was, he didn't know, he also denied me my right to look at the electronic agreement I signed.
I have arrangements scheduled to pay these back, but I am wondering if I should and if they are legally entitled to the money. I am currently considering filing criminal charges against him, which his supervisor knows about, for making threats against me. What can I do? I know the company is based out of Kansas and the name is Geneva Roth.
