First, The salesman told my wife and I that the 4runner(2006) was equiped with an alarm system. Them he said that we were entitled to a 1K rebate (after the deal) after we agreed to a price we were going to pay. It listed for 32K. We haggled for 29.9K, then the salesman said that we were going to get an additional 1K if we decide to purchase. However, neither was true. After we signed(we missed the 1K rebate in the paperwork and thought we received it) The salesman said that he had to disable the alarm system before he had it detailed and that we could come back at a later date and he would re-activate it for us. When we took it in to have it turned on we discovered that WE DID NOT HAVE AN ALARM SYSTEM. Consequently, we spoke with the manager Mr. Howell and he said it must have been an oversight and that he could install one at his cost (125.00) We said not acceptable and that we should not have to pay for what we were told it came with.
