I have recently checked out movies from blockbuster and I kept them for 10 days. When I went to rent more movies I was told that I owed 2.50 for re-stocking fees of the two movies that I had previously rented. How can they charge me for re-stocking when they would have to re-stock them no matter when I had brought them in? Just another term for 'late fees'. Blockbuster has been, and still advertises 'No late fees'. Oh wait, it gets better. I checked out some more movies, after paying the 'restocking fees' and I returned them 8 days later only to find out when I checked my bank account later that day, Blockbuster put a hold on my account for 64.04. I called them and asked why they have a hold on my credit card, this is the response I got. 'We put a hold on anything that is past it's due date'. Again, I thought there we no late fees....The manager then proceeded to tell me that if I had held them for 37 days they would have charged me for the movies and they would not have excepted them If I tried to return them. I do not keep up with advertising laws, but it seems to me that Blockbuster is not being honest with their advertising.
Thank you
