I was sold a service policy with the purchase of a new laptop computer. Their authorized repair and, I believe, company owned, Geek Squad. I was told by sales that it covers everything. When the computer failed after 2 months, I brought it in and was told that if it was a software problem that I would be charged a 130.00 fee. I stormed out, after words with them and had it taken care of by the manufacturer. Another 3 months later, it failed again and was brought to Best Buy for repair. They took it without a word, called the next day and said it was ready. I picked it up and nothing was accomplished. They then told me that they ran a diagnostic and the hardware was fine. Then I was told if I wanted it fixed, it would cost me 130.00. I allowed it at this time after lodging a complaint. A couple of days later, they called to say it was repaired. All they did was reimage the computer, which any computer literate person could do, and again I complaine. My complaint was that they did not repair the computer but just set it back to original without even attempting to diagnose and repair.
The policy was for 3 years, with damage coverage and cost 359 above the cost of the equipment. Is there anything to be done?
