In wet weather the truck breaks traction in with the least amount of gas being applied and goes into a spin. I have had several experiences when pulling into traffic where the rear tires have broken loose and the vehicle has gone sidways in the road, nearly causing accidents on at least two of those occasions. I bought the vehicle (leased actually) and the weather was dry so I experienced no problems in the test drive or for several weeks following. I am a 100 disabled veteran, and purchased the vehicle to transport my electric wheel chair and I do not drive it very much. It has less than 10K miles and is a 2005 purchased in September of that year.
My wife is afraid to drive it anymore because of it spinning out on her while taking me to a Doctors appointment and I am afraid I am going to crash ito someone after loosing control.
I have not heard or read of any proplems related to these vehicles and was wondering if mine was a seperate issue or had anybody else complained of the same thing. I spoke to a rep over the phone, sorry I got no name, who said that there were no reported issues and that I just may have a heavy foot for a truck with that much power. I can assure you that is not the problem because I am very careful, I cannot afford to be hurt anymore and would not take the chance.
Would you be so kind as to check this out?
Thank you!
