Bank of America had given me a credit card and with this card I bought the protection plan to cover me if in case anything would happen like me losing my job. Well in June of 2005 I lost my job. Bank of America refused to do as their agreement stated. I had all nessecary information and was by far eligable to be covered. One of their Reps had then told me that because I did not have the credit card for 9 months (which at the time I did) that I was not eligable due to this. I have read over my terms and conditions several times and in no sentence or anywhere in the pages does it state I had to have the card for 9 months. They waited to tell me this and refuse my claim after making me wait 3 months and telling me not to pay on my bill while the minimum payment sky rocketed up to high that I couldn't pay anything on it anyway. The minumum payment went from 35 to over 1000 in only 6 months time. This has now gone to numerous collection aggencies who have lied to me as to why the amount has gone up so high with in a matter of months. They have told me I was going to recieve a summons to court many times and I never have. That I would never be able to get a job or a house unless I would pay this off in full. I do not feel that I owe this full amount that I should have been able to use my protection and settled this in a different manner. I believe Bank of America breached their own agreement and denied me so that they would in hopes be paid a larger amount by me.
