Around 2000 and onward, Experian was reporting my property taxes as deliquent. They had been
late one time for a few months, but they were never late again. Experian continued to report them
deliquent for some years after that. I was sure that it was effecting my credit. I called and told them that they were violating my rights by doing false reporting. They said it was my responsibility to fix it by paying my taxes. I told them they my property taxes had been a few months late one time only back in 1999 or 2000. This was about 2004. This guy said I needed to take it up with the sheriff's office. I called and found they had no complaints against me. I called the tax payers office to confirm that everything was up to date. I called Experian again and told them they were reporting false information. I told them that it was their company and I was not responsible for their information. They should do follow-up and fix their own false reporting. He said if I didn't like it I could file a complaint. I never figured out how to do that. I was busy working 12 hour shifts and felt I couldn't fight the system. For years, I paid over 20 on credit cards and It was around 17 on my car loan.
