I joined RMP three years ago hoping they would be able to help settle my debts with four creditors. I paid a retainer fee and a startup fee up front, and a monthly amount to build up my 'settlement account.' After I reached the recommended settlement amount, I waited for them to settle my debts. Nothing happened. I corresponded via e-mail to ask for updates, but I was given very little information as to how much was being offered and how the creditors responded. Now two of my accounts have gone to arbitration, and I'm forced to settle them on my own. I followed the directions to cancel my RMP membership and request a refund of monies paid (minus start-up and retainer fees, as per their agreement). The promised refund date has come and gone. I am now getting no response from my e-mails and voice mails.
