I signed up with Risk Management PartnersMiracle Management Group in July of 2004 after being referred to the company through Lower My Bills.com, which had stated that they were licensed in my state. The company told me that they could help settle my debts for half of what i had owed and at 0 interest. I was first told I had to pay a set-up fee and a retainer's fee in the amount of 699.00 and would have 200.00 deducted out of my checking account each month where it would then be placed in an account in a nationally charted bank where it would stay unitl I had enough money built up to negotiate a settlement with my creditors. However, after being in the program for about 7months, my creditors were now starting to summons me. After receiving three summonses from two of my creditors I tried contacting the company for its help and to my surprise could never seem to get a hold of anyone. I would call daily and leave messages and no one would return my calls. Finally after about a month of e-mailing, faxing, and calling I received an e-mail from them telling me that they could no longer help me until I paid the total amounts I now owed to my creditors, which ended up being more than the amount the company told it could help settle for me. At this point I was really frustrated with how the company was handling my accounts and felt I had no choice left but to file bankruptcy. Something I didn't want to do and was why I had joined the program in the first place. After canceling my account with them I was told that I would receive my settlement account money back in an estimated 4-6 weeks. Well ONE YEAR later, I still have not received my money back from this comany. I have filed complaints to my Attorney General, Commissioner, BBB, AZ Attorney General, Senator, and FTC. This company was found out to be operating business without a license in the state of Arizona and was told they could no longer do business in the state again and that they had to pay restitution and civil money penalties. However, this comany has now moved to the state of Texas and is doing business there and is called Risk Management Partners. Beware this is a SCAM company and needs to be stopped before they place more people through the same financial burden that they have caused to myself and a lot of other people to go through.
