I purchased a laptop hp pavillion for christmas. When I made the purchase, the salesperson told me I could get x amount of money off with rebates. He printed out 7 reciepts to send in for rebates. Each rebate was pretty unclear about whether the original upc was required. I had two differernt rebates, one for 50 and one for 30 that were to be mailed to the same place with the same rebate on it. I went on-line to the rebate center, www.lexmark.com and read the faq on the rebate site. Per the regulations of the rebate, original upc symbols are needed to validate the rebate and they also had a rule about submitting duplicate rebates. So, I didn't submit the 30 dollar rebate, but I sort of feel cheated out of it. Also on the same day I purchased the computer, I visited the verizon service booth inside of circuit city to buy a phone case as a christmas present for my husband. I showed the sales lady the exact phone I needed it for and she sold me a case. On christmas morning, my husband opened his gift and thing didn't even fit his phone. The lady sold me the wrong one. When I went back for an exchange, I had to wait for about 30 minutes while the two sales teens flirted with customers before I was told I'm sorry we don't have that case. They instruced me to visit another store. Which I did but was highly pissed.
