Season Ticket Holders v Sonics Basketball Franchise

Sonics Basketball Franchise May Have Moved, But Legal Fight Remains
The Sonics franchise may have moved to Oklahoma City, but the legal fight is not over.
Sonics season ticket holders want the team to compensate them for their tickets.
Plaintiffs are not leading a federal class-action lawsuit alleging Clay Bennett's ownership group "misled" and "misrepresented the facts" when it offered an "unprecedented commitment" back in 2007. The offer to ticket holders: Renew your season tickets and get "guaranteed cost certainty" for season tickets through 2009-2010.
Ticket holders who purchased seats that year, say Bennett's group never offered them the chance to purchase tickets last year in Oklahoma City.
United States Federal Judge Richard Jones has made several key rulings, which have allowed the case to move on, and it is now slated for trial in January 2010.
