Poultry Plant Employees Seek Class Action

A class action lawsuit has been filed against the largest poultry producer alleging managers at its Russellville processing plant knowingly hired illegal workers.

The lawsuit was filed in US District Court and claims a Pilgrim's Pride operations manager and a complex manager hired illegal immigrants at depressed wages for the facility.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of all hourly paid workers who qualify for legal employment in the United States and who have been employed by Gold Kist Inc. and/or Pilgrim's Pride at each of the companies facilities nationwide.
