$51 Million Lawsuit Filed Against Rolling Stones |
 |
A $51 million class action lawsuit has been filed by Rosalie Druyan because the Rolling Stones called off their October 2006 show in Atlantic City, N.J.
The Stones called off the show because Mick Jagger had a sore throat — and announced that they will make up the date on Nov. 17.
The New York Daily News reported that Rosalie Druyan has filed the $51 million class-action suit because she contended that the cancellation cost her and other fans a lot of money on nonrefundable hotel reservations.
The group will also delay Monday's show in Oakland, Calif., by a day and push back the Los Angeles show from Nov. 18 to Nov. 22. Another show, set for Honolulu, has been canceled.
Tuesday night's show at New York's Beacon Theatre, which was to be taped for a Martin Scorsese film, was delayed until Wednesday night, according to a theater representative.
