Former Wal-Mart Employee Files Lawsuit for Back Pay |

Norma Jean Williams, a former employee of a Salt Lake City Wal-Mart filed a class-action lawsuit against the world's largest retailer, claiming that Wal-Mart altered records to cheat its employees. Williams is the only named plaintiff in the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court for Utah. This is one of many cases that allege evidence about Wal-Mart's non-payment of wages, and forcing workers to work off the clock.
According to the lawsuit, Williams was an employee of Wal-Mart in Salt Lake City at some point between 1997 and the present
The lawsuit says that Wal-Mart ``failed to properly compensate (Williams) and the class members for off-the-clock work, overtime hours that were subsequently deleted by managers without authorization of the affected employees.''
