(NasdaqNM:ADAT), certain of its officers and directors by stockholders who purchased the company's common stock between September 29, 2003 and May 27, 2005. The action claims that the defendants violated federal securities laws by issuing a series of material misrepresentations to the market over this time period, thereby artificially inflating the price of the company's securities. The stockholders seek to recover compensatory damages for the loss of value of their stock.
 
The Arkansas Teacher Retirement System filed a class action lawsuit against SFBC International, a drug testing company accused of violating regulatory procedures in administering clinical trials.
 
The class has been certified in several consolidated class actions filed against energy utility AES Corporation (NYSE:AES) and certain of its officers and directors by stockholders who purchased the company's common stock, including those who engaged in option transactions concerning AES securities, between July 27, 2000, and November 8, 2002. The actions claim that the defendants violated federal securities laws by issuing a series of material misrepresentations regarding the California energy market to the market over this time period, thereby artificially inflating the price of the company's securities.
 
According to a law firm press release, plaintiffs filed a class action complaint against Gildan Activewear Inc. on June 2, 2008.
