Carnival Corporation agreed to pay $6.25 million to settle a class action filed against it by seafaring workers who said Carnival failed to pay full wages, including overtime, attorneys for the workers said. U.S. District Judge Keith Ellison ruled that more than 11,000 former and current assistant managers who work at Starbucks around the country can join a lawsuit filed in Houston seeking unpaid overtime wages. A class action lawsuit has been filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Lowes Home Centers, Inc.. The case involves violations of Federal Labor law.
