A class action lawsuit has been filed in the Eastern District Court of Missouri against Bank of America for violations of banking law. Class members seek damages, injunctive relief, attorney's fees and costs of the litigation. A class action lawsuit has been filed in the District Court of New Jersey against Bayer AG, a pharmaceutical company based in Germany with offices nationwide, for price fixing. Class members seek triple damages, attorney's fees, and the costs of the litigation. CCC Information Services Inc., a subsidiary of CCC Information Services Group Inc. announced July 13, 2005 it and 15 of its customers signed a settlement agreement with the plaintiffs in various class action suits pending in Madison County, Illinois. The consolidated suits relate to the valuation of vehicles that have been declared total losses by insurers. Tens of thousands of Florida motorists will get compensation under a $50 million class-action settlement approved over the alleged illegal purchase of their motor vehicle records by a bank from the state government. More than 9,000 people who received shots to ward off hepatitis A after an outbreak at a Chi-Chi's restaurant can make a claim in an $800,000 class-action settlement.
The federal judge overseeing Chi-Chi's bankruptcy has approved notice to the
9,489 people who got immune globulin shots from the Pennsylvania Department
of Health after the outbreak was publicized in early November 2003.
