According to a recently filed class action, Wal-Mart essentially steals from its employees. In the suit, three former employees at the South Charleston store seek to represent every employee Wal-Mart has cheated in West Virginia since 1989.

A collective action has been filed in Alabama against the Shelby County Board of Education. The action is brought on behalf of all former and current employees who have worked in excess of 40 hours a week, but who have not been paid overtime by Aiken County. The action is brought on behalf of all past and present employees of Eckerd who are or were employed, since July 30, 2000, as photo lab managers and who were not paid overtime. As a collective action, potential claimants must "opt-in" to the action in order to be considered part of the class. The managers have requested that the court give notice to all potential claimants in this matter.

Earl Scheib, Inc. reached an agreement to settle a class action lawsuit related to how the Company's California division classified certain employees under California overtime law over an approximately seven year period.
