The action is brought on behalf of all general managers, co-managers, operations managers, sales managers, guest service managers, and human resource managers who since December 11, 1999, in California and December 11, 2000, nationwide were denied overtime compensation by Pilot. The action is brought both under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and the California labor and business professions codes and seeks back pay, liquidated damages and statutory penalties as well as declaratory and injunctive relief. The action is both a class action, for violations of California law, and a collective action under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. Those residing outside of California who wish to be considered for the action must "opt-in" voluntarily to be considered a claimant. The managers have requested the court give notice to all potential claimants.
 
The parties have reached a tentative $538,000 settlement in a class action filed against clothier The Gap, Inc. on behalf of African-American employees who were employed at the Gap's Gallatin, Tennessee, campus between October 7, 1999, and September 12, 2003. The action alleged that they were discriminated against in violation of the federal Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Tennessee Human Rights Act. Persons eligible to participate in the action should contact the class attorney for more information.
 
A statewide collective action has been filed in Florida against medical staffing conglomerate Starmed Health Personnel, Inc., its parent company, The RehabCare Group, Inc. and subisidiaries Intelistaf Healthcare, Inc. and We Care Nurses, Inc. The action is brought on behalf of all current and past employees who were employed by the company as "service coordinators", "staffers", "staffing coordinators", "on call service coordinators", "on call coordinators", "schedulers", or other similar positions, who were paid by the hour and not paid overtime for all hours worked beyond 40 per week. The action is brought under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and seeks back pay, statutory damages and liquidated damages as well as injunctive and declaratory relief. As a collective action, all potential claimants must "opt-in" to the case in order to be considered part of the class. The employees have requested that the court issue notice to all potential claimants.
 
The parties have reached a $5.5 million settlement in an administrative proceeding filed by the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against The Home Depot, on behalf of current and former employees who allege that they were discriminated against in violation of their civil rights. The EEOC complaint alleged that female and minority employees were paid less and disciplined more severely than white males, and promoted less often. Persons eligible to take part in the settlement should contact the prosecuting attorneys for more information.

The action is brought on behalf of all current and former inside sales associates, who since February 2001, were not paid proper statutory overtime for all hours worked beyond 40 per week. The action is brought under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and seeks statutory and liquidated damages as well as declaratory and injunctive relief. As a collective action, all potential claimants are required to "opt-in" to the action in order to be considered part of the class. The employees have requested that the court issue notice to all potential class members.
