A seller of online marketing tools sued Google Inc., on June 29, 2005, charging that the Web search giant has failed to protect users of its advertising program from "click fraud," costing them at least $5 million.
 
Misty Knisley, an 18 year old nursing student and parents of four of her classmates filed a lawsuit saying the students’ rights were violated when 20 girls were strip-searched at school. The lawsuit was filed in Pike County, Ohio Common Pleas Court against the Vern Riffe Career Technology Center in Piketon, 60 miles south of Columbus, and the county Joint Vocational School District.
 
The class has been certified in an action filed against the Roman Catholic Diocese of Covington, Kentucky, on behalf of persons who allege that between January 1, 1956, and the present, priests or members of religious orders employed by the Diocese sexually abused them while they were still minors, in violation of Kentucky common law. Class members should contact class counsel for more information.
 
A class action lawsuit has been filed against American Airlines, Inc. The complaint is not yet available but cover sheets filed with the court indicate that the claims relate to the November 12, 2001 crash of AA Flight 587 outside of New York City. The San Jose, California tour company formerly known as SunTrips has left many would-be travelers and travel agents empty-handed. Vacationers and travel agents are out millions of dollars since the company that arranged low-cost charter tours to vacation spots like Mexico and Hawaii canceled tours and stopped offering flights.
 
A class action lawsuit has been filed in the District Court of Nebraska against Grant Thorton International for fraud and negligence. Class members seek compensatory and punitive damages, taxes, interest, penalties, attorney's fees and costs of the litigation.
